Yeah I know. Very good deal but you need to have 90% LTV. Probably one of the most cheapest as no booking fee. Can't fault it if you are looking for a fixed rate.

    Hi,

My fixed rate with TSb runs out on 30th April. They are going to gurantee this rate until the TSB rate finishes. Going to sort out the paper work tomorrow.

Got a feeling they are going to push all the insurances possible at me tomorrow!

    Regards

    Barry

Same here, my fixed rate finishes end of March and they are going to start everything on 1st April. Did it all online and over the telephone very easy....so far so good.
  • how good is this rate? I will most likely be getting into the mortgage market in the next couple of months as a first timer but coming with a £175,000 flat having been left to me and my bro. I am looking at fixing for 5 years and am keen to take advantage of any good rates before they go or interest rates rise...

im technicaly self employed but could easily put down over 10% of the deposit, am only looking to borrow 2.7x my salary before overtime.

if requrired i could get my folkes to co-sighn though i would really prefer to avoid it, mostly to avoid family friction since they wouldnt be at any risk and have practicaly enough in the bank to cover it outright anyway.

anyway is there any chance i could get this deal

doesn't seem a bad little deal, would check out if it's for FTBs or homeowners though, also bear in mind it doesnt look like they provide a legal service for transferring.

I can confirm that when remortgaging all the legal stuff is taken care of by HSBC without charge, I don't think this is the case for first time buyers though.
Also it is worth noting that there are no exit fees (as different to most other lenders)so after 5 years you can leave with any sort of charge (this is what they have told me anyway).
