This is called Miss directed payments (MDP) the problem comes from using the wrong supplyers card. the long number that goes across you card hold infomation of your account number, supplyer id and a few other things. now if you were to use say an npower card when you are on supply with swalec then the money will go to npower and sit in a holding account. now if you keep doing this swalec will think that you are not buying elec and when they get a reading for the meter readers and bill you they will charge you for the elec being used. of course as soon as you get a bill you will ring up and start shouting about all the money they say you owe them. what swalec then have to do is put a claim in to npower asking them for all the payment made between two dates. but they cant put the claim in until they send you a new swalec card out and you make the first payment. once the claim has been put in its then up to npower on how long it takes to send the money to swalec. if the money is with bgas it has been taking over a year for bgas to send the money to swalec.. so you could be in for a wait
