Hi hope someone can help me i will try not to make it too long i had my car insurance with admiral last year for a 10 months policy it was due to get renewed on the 19th of august so i wanted to change it from a 10 months to a 12 months the quote they gave me was too expensive so i looked online and got a better quote but still with admiral so when i called them they said they would match it so i gave them the full years payment over the phone for £760.64 . Two days later they called to make sure i had received my documents and say i had to send proof of my no claims bonus i explained that i was already with them and the say i had two policy's a 10 months and 12months they would cancel the 10 months one but they went in and took the money out for that on the 23rd £636.68 so they have taken a total of £1397.32 and have said i need to wait 10day i have my bills due and have 4 children to feed is there anything i can do i have been on the phone 10 times today to them being total so many different things can anyone help me with this thanks

It sounds like they didnt realise they were the insurer to begin with. So, the old policy got auto-renewed and the new one was taken.
You need to give them one day on the phone and if you do not get a response back before 4pm then raise a complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
