Hi all.
I am trying to claim back all my late fees and charges from my current credit card and and my old ones. But my current one is a paperless statement and only goes back 12 months, Can I just write to them and ask them to tell me what I have been charged over the past three years? The statements I have had have been mostly burnt in a house fire, I do have the odd good statement from each credit card so I know what cards I have had but I definitely do not have n account of all the charges.
One credit card company told me it is £4 per old statement, but all I want is a rundown of the charges. Should I get these for free or can I get this £4 per statement back?
Any advice would be great
Many Many Thanks

You can do a subject access request under the data protection act - which costs £10 but will get you a complete history of all transactions, and is a lot cheaper than buying the statements.
