Sammy, sounds like a really good package! I don't understand this corkage thing, could you explain?
I think corkage is when u take your own wine into the venue??

Hollie - I should probably stop stressing, we could always have a fake wedding shoot afterwards so get some nice ones of me and hubby somewhere picturesque. i kinda like that idea, fake wedding shoot!!
About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. :A

We provided our own wine and then paid the venue "corkage" of £6 per bottle for the priviledge.

Their cheapest wine was £15 per bottle. We averaged £9.50 by buying our own. (Corkage £6 and wine was 3.50ish a bottle to buy)

I also agree with Sammy85 that price does sound alot especially if your not happy with the grounds,i take it u have booked or is it one u really like inside but have not yet made up your mind?

Which one do you mean, the£4/8k one or the £2k one? The £4/8k one has amazing grounds, we can't book it because of the price though.

It's the cheaper one that doesn't have the nicest grounds.

I hadn't even though about providing wine! I suppose I should!! Where did you get your wine? My mum's OH bulk buys from Virgin Wines so that might be an option. Guess I should ask the venue!!

Red, White and Rose came from Asda and Netto (3 bottles for £10).

Sparkling Cava came from Tesco and was a bit dearer at £4.50 a bottle.

We found that wine clubs werent any cheaper.
And with Asda/Netto you can go and buy a bottle (or two) and test it first, no point in providing wine you dont like drinking!

Samileo - If you're worried about the photos then why not go elsewhere for them?

Our church wasnt very photogenic and the town hall we had our reception at was beautiful inside but in the town centre, so not much outside space that was pretty for photos..

So, we went to the beach (on our own) in between church and the reception and had some beautiful pictures done. :-)

My cousin did a similar thing and went to the local park and had some beautiful photos done on their own.

We checked out bookers, wasnt very cheap. I now understand why a bottle of wine at the corner shop always costs more than the supermarket for the same stuff! They cant make more than a few pennies with the price bookers charge.
