Plumbing problem?

Had new wc and sink installed in downstairs cloakroom. My washing machine is located in cupboard next to this room and takes hot/cold water from same pipes. Waste is also attached on. Since this work my washing comes out boiling hot and a bit tight! The plumber is on holiday and dont really want to hire (and pay) another plumber when Im hoping that the original plumber will fix this as it seems to be linked to their work. Realised cold water tap wasnt on so have adjusted this and there doesnt seem to be any kinks in the hose. Cant go on without a washing machine so was hoping for some advice. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

:)

  • Sounds to me like whatever work he has done has swapped the hot and cold about to your washing machine, one thing to maybe try in the mean time is swap the hose's on the back off the machine and see how that goes. It sounds like just now when instead of the machine rinsing with cold water its rising with water from the hot supply.
