Warm city break in mid Oct????

Hi all i am after some advice from you knowledgeable people!!

I am looking to book a break for two for 3 nights somewhere warmish in mid Oct, so any suggestions at all would be greatly received.

Have seen a reasonable hol to Pisa but with the dreaded On The Beach so am a little reluctant to book this.

We have been to Barcelona and Valencia in mid October - both were very pleasant, warm sunny days and still warm enough in the evenings to sit outside.
  • Went to Rome end of October and it was still warm.

  • Went to New York at the end of Oct and it was warm.
  • Went to Palma in October and it was warm - nice interesting city too, and you can always get the scenic rail trip to Soller and the wooden tram to Puerto Soller if it's warm enough for the seaside.
    Normal people worry me.

Thumbs up from me as well for Barcelona !

Lovely Tapas and cool drinks watching the world go by....a slow meander down Las Ramblas,....the indoor market ...the Touristy
    sites etc.

Jump on the bus or train from Airport to the City.

    Good luck.

    I also recommend Barcelona.

I'd say have a look on travel republic, which i use frequently and always gets good reviews on here.

How about use Skyscanner.net for getting the best flights- easy to use search engine and then having chosen location visit Trip advisor forum or here for more suggestions on the city. Also my tip is when choosing where to go, try to get the most 'time' from your trip by getting a morning departure and lateish departure so you get most of your last day there.Personally I always start off looking at hotels on TA write down 6 names ... I think really important to chose a hotel in a central location to save you time and possibly money getting around when there- then use a few different sites to check out prices TA will also do this for you . I have always found doing all the legwork this way saves me money... but I stand to be corrected!
