Replastering / Party Wall Act?

    If I were you I would just have a polite word with the neighbour and explain what you are doing. I wouldn't mention the party wall act.

    If they are happy, take a few photos of their side of the wall and make a note of any obvious cracks or holes and tell them you'll send your plasterer round to make good any minor damage if it happens. Keep it friendly, a bottle of wine or flowers to apologise for the noise etc.

    If they start getting the party wall act involved it could end up costing you a small fortune in surveyors (circa £1500) that really isn't necessary for a small job like this.

    Thanks for the advice all. I'll probably just pop around to introduce myself and let them know what works being done. I'll probably make a courtesy call to let them know when the jobs finished too, in case there were any problems.
