Flaky Paint

My external walls have a serious problem with flaking paint.The walls are I believe flop dashed with coats of paint on top, The paint in lots of places has completely peeled back or lifted the stones exposing the concrete behind. When I remove the peeling or lifted paint I remove the stones as well so I will have some areas flop dashed and others quite smooth.How do I Remedy :mad:

move house !! if that's not an option then, if it's all flaking off and can be scraped back then this is the way forward , if it can't all be scraped back then you've either got to think about having it sandblasted (expensive ) or just get as much off and then seal it with a stabilizing solution and then paint it . if you want to get the flop dashed finish then you will have to get a plasterer in to patch it up or have a go yourself .

i've used it a couple of times of houses with imperfect rendering and it does the trick
you will have to thin it a bit with water if the flop dash is coarse , this is probably why the paint has come off now .
it all depends on how much you can or want to spend , if you are planning to stay long term it may be better to get it done properly now
