Ok, as alot did I missed out on a touchpad. I was thinking of getting it for my daughter who is 8 for christmas instead of a net book or lap top.
I do not have much idea about these things so what would you think would be good instead around the same £80 ish price mark.
Help greatly appreciated.

The Android pad that Apple have been to court over must be good for them to try to kill it .

there is nothing as good for £80/£150/£200 or even £250, you have to remember that the touchpad was a £400 tablet, (though I would say it was only worth about £250-£300 max), therefore it was competing with those high end tablets.
if you are wanting a tablet as good as the touchpad then something like the asus transformer or other honeycomb android tablets are your only option and they start at ~£300, there is also the blackberry playbook and the ipad but they are even more expensive.0 -
I managed to get a factory refurbished 32gb Acer Iconia A500 off Ebay for £330 including a 3 year warranty, and it is a fabulous tablet, the only problem being that the screen does show the fingerprints something chronic! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I just havnt got that type of money at the minuite, wish I did though.
My maximum budget is £100. Especially as it for a child aswell. Mainly it will be used for the internet and homework but would be nice to be able to take photo's and play games. Thanks for the help, wish I had a bigger budget.Looking forward to new ventures :beer:0 -
10 day DEALathon
Don't know if tomorrow (Friday) there will be anything "up your street" with this CPW Dealathon (as below)
There are loads of sub £100 tablets pc's @ Maplin, Toys r us, Argos, Asda and dotted around loads of other stores. There are poor reviews with the majority of them. You may find unresponsive screens, low memory, old Android or other operating system, slow processor, build quality poor, old or incomplete software, lack of support and updates.
I hope that lady luck comes to MSE and some more HP T'pads show themselves0 -
