Aviva car insurance cashback existing/new customer query?

I've asked a similar question before but what I want to know is, has any existing Aviva customer successfully signed up as a new customer in order to get Quidco/TCB cashback?

I'm already with Aviva and my car insurance policy is up next Wednesday. I've used all the comparison sites and some individuals (like those who aren't on cashback sites) and my Aviva price is still the cheapest.

However, at the moment Quidco are offering £70 cashback for a new Aviva customer. As I've said, Aviva are my cheapest quote regardless but I'm considering signing up as a new customer in order to possibly get the cashback. I know the cashback isn't guaranteed but I've nothing to lose by trying.

Just wondered if anyone had successfully done this with Aviva or if their system had noticed and didn't allow it? I've already gone through the new quote section on the website as a new customer with no problems.

With Aviva, their system recognises you as an existing customer, and won't give you a quote. (Some might say what a let off!)

Hmmm...it's let me quote several times with my same details, email and car registration. I'm assuming it's when you actually go to purchase that there's problems?

A new policy with Aviva was the best option for me (£60 cheaper than renewal). Cashback is clearly stated as new customers only.

So far it has tracked on the cashback site but it'll be a while until it is paid so I can't say for certain if it will be paid but looking good so far.

Thanks for letting me know! I actually know Aviva take ages anyway, as I think I only got paid my cashback from my policy LAST year in the last few months! My mum also became an Aviva customer recently and I don't think she has had her cashback paid yet either.
