Thomson Premier class

Were getting married in December and flying with Thomson's.

Is it worth upgrading to Premier Class and do they have any special offers? and if so when is the best time to book?

    Hi

I flew Thomson to Dominican Republic 2009 and their premier Class didn't look worth the extra money. Their seats were a few inches bigger, I noticed they got served first but that was about it, unlike when you are flying long haul with the other major airlines, the difference there is noticeable, personally I wouldn't pay the extra to fly PC with Thompson!

We went to Mexico for our honeymoon in May and paid for premium seat. We thought it was well worth the cost as you got prioirty check in (not needed at UK end but very much appreciated at the Mexican end); more leg room and a choice of food. Having said that, we flew out with Thomson and back with First Choice and the FC Premium class was much better.

We'd definitely consider upgrading again if we could afford it.

In terms of tips, when we booked, the seats seemed to get cheaper the closer you get to the holiday, I guess it's a gamble on whether they have the availability.
  • I flew to Mexico with Thomson this year, signs all over the check in desks offering buy one get on free upgrades! May be worth the gamble of just doing it at the airport.
