Virgin rejected

Just got letter from Virgin saying ppi claim rejected because I applied online 2005 and ticked the relevent boxes etc. Really dissapointed. Do you think I should ask for a copy of the application as I cant remember much about it.:(

Remember that there is nothing wrong with having PPI. The complaints were how it was sold to or how it was set up (mainly aimed at single premium with interest added). They are saying they didnt sell it but you chose it. They can supply you with a copy of the data capture (online wont have an application). That will show you selected it.

what was your reason for complaint?

  • Hey

Sorry to hear you've had the same "ticked the box" rejection as me.

I've sent them an email asking them to reconsider their decision based on the points I raised and not on the fact I "ticked the box" - which they aren't allowed to do.

If you look through my posts you'll find a copy of the email I sent to them - feel free to send them something similar yourself

If all else fails take it to the FOS - which is what I'm going to do if they stick with their current decision

This isn't the end, it's simply a bump in the road :)
