MBNA credit card successess

We have received a letter yesterday that we will be receiving back our ppi and to allow 28 days to receive the cheque.
My question is how long does it take in real time to receive the cheque or is this another method of stalling- just heard that in some cases they use this as a stalling method and you have to use the Ombudsman to get the money

That letter is legally binding and they would be silly not to honour it. #

I got the same letter from them except some of the money is being paid direct off the card balance and the rest will be sent as a cheque.

I just checked my card statement and they've honoured that side so all that's left is the cheque.

It's a relief for me as I thought I was going to have to go through FOS which would have added to my time, which I have little of these days!

My letter to uphold came dated 8th August. I received my cheque in the post today. Hooray! Off to the bank then.:j

Yay!!! Glad its not just me getting something back!! We will be getting a cheque for 367 as we cleared the balance and no longer use the card :0) just waiting for royal mail to deliver it now!!!!
