New or used? You could try asking a shopfitting company if they removed old tables from another premises which you could buy? Or find a company of liquidators and see if you can lowball what they are trying to shift? Also maybepossibly go-dove.com, you get all sorts turning up there!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Depends on the style you're looking for completely. We got ours from Ikea, standard stock as we were looking for a clean fresh simple sort of style. It seems tough and very easy to clean..

Don't get anything fancy, customers trash the furniture so cheap, functional and easy to clean is essential, and preferably a fairly generic range so you can add/replace pieces over time. Some of the stuff on Nisbetts is hit and miss (as in some very good some very bad) so if you buy from anywhere online order one piece to check it out before taking the plunge with a large order.

For outside aluminium is best as light but sturdy, I've seen wicker chairs from Nero blowing down the street :)

Thank you for all your comments. I must admit there is a table and chair I like from IKEA but I was concerned how it would stand up to constant use. Keep up the good work I love this site x

Be careful of the fire retardant laws.

Officially anything that is used within a customer environment has to have a higher level of flame retardant to conform to current UK laws.

This level of flame retadant is called Crib 5 and the vast majority of furniture out there is not up to this level. (usually cigarette and match) which is the level required for domestic use.

A fire officer may decide to inspect your premises at some time in the future and ask to see your proofs of purchase with crib 5 certificates attached. Not trying to scare you but just so as you are aware.

I Will say this though a huge number choose to ignore this law and to date I have not heard of anyone getting into trouble it just seems to be on the whole ignored.

If your are unsure ask your local fire officer They will tell you if you ring and ask if leather dining chairs being only cigarette and match flame retardant not crib 5 is a problem in a non smoking environment.
