What do I do now!!!!!

Options
Please can anyone advise me on what I do know!!!
I have the leasehold of my flat, I have never been charged any service charge for ground rent or maintenance for the building. I have finally got hold of the freeholder, who has told me he is suffering from depression and can't sort anything out, and the building is not insured. Can I do this myself????

    1. Get your own flat insured today, RIGHT NOW!!! At least this short-term step will protect you.
    2. How many other flats are in the same building? Is each one held on long lease like yours is?
    3. You and their leaseholders have the same problem, I think. You need to band together and use collective:
    a. Right To Manage; or
    b. Right To Enfranchise. If L [landlord] wants out, this is the best way forwards.
    4. All the leaseholders ought to take collective legal advice, so that they can decide how to proceed.
    5. But, first, please get onto insurer. I'm impressed with Aviva's block policies 'ResidentsLine' scheme.
