Damaged Laptop Screen. What Next?

I don't expect the store manager to be any more helpful, frankly. It seems ludicrous that I must complain in writing and all this time I'm without a laptop that I need.0

i was one of the people posting here, have a look at http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=acer+screen+cracked+by+itself&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a deffo a common fault! i spoke to acer they told me it was all my fault and said they would replace "for a fee"0

I would really like to know how u got on since ur last post regarding ur cracked screen and laptop with pc world. I have a netbook that is 8 months old, the screen cracked overnight with no damage and the motherboard has also gone overnight. im having an absolute nitemare with pc world customer service and would really like some feedback from people that have experienced the same.!!0

Unfortunately PcWorld will uplift the laptop (sometimes not even that) inspect and return saying not covered.
They can and will refuse the warrantee, as usually netbook/laptop screens don't just break.
You can continue to pursue them under the SoGA but that will mean you will need to get a independent engineers report stating the fault has been there since beginning of the DOP. (And good luck finding one of those)0 -
