Dubai and the Maldives last minute!

Hi,
Desperately looking for a last minute break - we've got 10th - 24th September off.
I was looking at Emirates and we can fly to Dubai on the 10th, spend 3 days there then fly to the Maldives staying for 9 nights then coming back on the 22nd.
I don't have a lot of free time between now and then so a package deal would be preferable but are these countries simple enough to visit? Can I just get Visas at the airports and just book hotels and transfers on line some time between now and when I leave?
I'm hoping it's a simple process to go to these places but not sure. I don't think I need any vaccinations either which is good as it's a bit late in the day to organise them!
Any words of advice much appreciated...

Hi
We just got back from Dubai, its advisable that you get your vaccinations up to date like hepatitis etc, but you might be too late now, but its not a big issue, as for me Dubai is very clean, no flies etc.
Dont forget to check out ebay for entertainer vouchers for bogof's like for Wild Wadi, Ski Dubai.
If your from the UK, you dont need a special Visa or anything for Dubai.
Dubai is a very easy place to navigate by taxi, taxi's are very cheap, i would advise you to stay in a hotel located at one of the malls, either dubai mall or mall of the emirates, just so you are central to something and can get fed easy, Dubai is very spaced out, and at this time of year you dont wanna be walking around outside as its ridiculously humid.
We booked flights with Vayama, and hotel with Opodo, i would just do it yourself, its way cheaper.
Cheers

I've been to Maldives 3 years ago and you get a visa on arrival, same for Dubai. I personally don't think you need any vaccinations as both Dubai and the Maldives are pretty clean and are pretty Tourist friendly destinations.0
