Help! Npower gas
Hello,i'm hoping for some advice please. Npower are charging us £100 a month for gas only. There are only 2 of us living in a terraced house that has recently had the loft insulated. How can I get them to check the bill is correct and that they're not overcharging me. I have recently sent them a meter reading....is there any way the meter could be faulty?
Thanks for any advice

Hi Gedian - You don't say so, but from the tone of your post I gather you have not been in this house for a full year, so don't have a full years bills to see what you use
£1200 a year is a lot for gas in a, (small ?), terraced house, but lack of D/Glazing, Wall insulation and draught proofing can make a big difference.
If you don't have a bill history, phone n'power and ask them how many Kwh of Gas use a year they have based your D/D payment on, then keep a weekly record of your meter readings to check it.- But keep in mind that your Winter gas use will be appx. 80% more than in Summer0 -
Hi Gedian,
Is this something you would like me to look into? If you send me your account details to forumresponse@npower.com and I can check this for you.
Best wishes
