Payable order?

Hello, just had a refund of my car tax as had to scrap my old car.
Its paid by a payable order not a cheque, have paid it in to cashminder account and it says on back of order it takes two to three days to clear. I hope this is right as really need it asap! I paid it in to post office and I know this may delay it by a day.
Has anyone else paid a payable order in to cashminder account and if so how long did it take to clear?

It will be treated like any other cheque so the 2-4-6 rule will apply.
Normally on working day 4 you can draw against the cheque.

I paid in in to post office on mon. Its says on back of order it clears in 2-3 days but I rang the bank yest and they still had not rec it! Not very happy

It's no help to you now, but I've always found it quicker to post cheques to the bank.
