What does your buyer or your buyer's solicitor want to see?

Does your own solicitor just want to know when it was built? If there's windows in the extension, look for a date stamp on them. That's usually a safe guide. Failing that, consult your local council's planning dept to see when permission was granted for it.

However, why does your solicitor want to know now? Didn't someone find this out when you bought the house?
