Manchester A/Port Terminal 1 pick up

Can anyone tell me if I have to pay to pick someone up from arrivals terminal 1. I know on a previous occasion our local taxi had to park and come inside the buiding, but cant remember what terminal that was:o

Yes, there is a charge.

And if you end up longer than that 30 mins you can pay quite a bit. When I pick up my kids I park up in a road nearby then get them to ring me when they're coming through baggage reclaim, then at least I know I won't be waiting any length of time
