Northern Irish (student) bank accounts

I was looking around on the website with the hopes of getting a student account. (I currently have a basic starter account with my bank.) I'm not very happy with my bank's services and am hoping to change to a new one but there are no mention of popular banks where I live. Such as Ulster bank and Bank of Ireland for example.
Anyone local have any banking wisdom to share with me?
I'm not looking for an overdraft so even just a good current account would do me.
I am only starting out looking at my finances. Bit foolish for a long time concerning my part time job and checking that they actually pay me what I am owed but I'm hoping to change all that! Sorry if this is the wrong place to post / or if there is already a post about this.

My customer service is horrific. So hard to get in contact with bank not to mention bank statements only twice a year. With the potential charge of £8 odds a go (last I checked) to get them sent out more frequently!0
