Posting a flat screen TV

Options
I am about to list a new- still boxed 26" flat screen TV.
I won't trust Royal Mail- does anyone know which courier companies will safely handle this package?

  • Parcelforce have been fine for me...used them for a lot of items. They can pick up your item from your house within an hour of you placing your order. Used them for domestic and international parcels with no issues.

If it is still in the original packaging, one courier is as good as another.
  • Thanks everyone.

Unless you're desperate to sell, I'd wait. There was a lot of talk about 'looted' items like flat screen tellies ending up on ebay, so I don't think buyers will have the confidence to bid at the moment - I know I wouldn't.

  • I wasn't aware of that, thanks. I am in Scotland anyway. so not sure if much looted stuff made it up here.
I may wait a couple of months- I may get a better price nearer Christmas.
    Thanks.

Just make sure if you do decide to use a courier that you make sure they offer insurance. From reading the main courier threads it seems that TVs are one item that is not routinely insured and needs checking direct with a courier before booking.
