Quidco cashback & comparison quotes

I was reading the details for More Than on the Quidco site & it says the following:
Does that mean that if I use any comparison site before going with More Than then my quidco cashback won't be paid? Or simply that when I come to make the actual application & pay I need to generate a new quote & all quotes previously generated will be ignored?
How to best ensure your policy is tracked
In order to receive the cashback you must click through to the MORE TH>N website via the Quidco link. You must generate a new quote and purchase directly. If the quote has been generated via another site (such as a comparison site) or advertisement, the sale will not be attributed to Quidco and you will not receive your cashback.
Make sure you have third party cookie tracking enabled and you allow the confirmation page to fully load before closing the window. For reference and for any possible claims, note down the date and time of your purchase and the quote number provided on the confirmation page. We cannot track validations via policy number we require a quote number.

if you use a comparison site first, they will get the commission and your cashback will be declinedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

be the first company to quote for it, then go to buy it through them. You can still shop around but only afterDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. Get what ever quotes you want, BUT clear all cookies in your web browser before you make the final purchase through Quidco or Topcashback account. If you don't know how to do this, just ask.0 -

Use a false name etc for the quotes, then only put in your real details when you actually want to buy the insurance.0 -

experience08 is correct. I don't think mikey72 is, because it's all to do with the cookies, not the name.
If you go to the comparison sites and click from there to a Company (say More>than), the cookies are laid down to your computer for the comparison site.
So what I do is:
1) Clear cookies and sign in to Quidco or Topcashback. Ctrl+shift+del is a quick way to clear cookies.
2) Write down the largest amounts of cashback for going direct to the insurance companies (ie not via comparison sites).
3) Go to a few of the comparison sites (clear cookies each time, just for the sake of it). You get a few pounds for going through the comparison sites. If you have gone through to the actual site via the comparison site then you must clear cookies before you go back to make the actual purchase. If this isn't clear, just clear cookies for the sake of it.
4) Buy your insurance.
You will find that you get logged out when you clear the cookies so just log in again (easy with Quidco if you ask them to remember you).
You can see if the insurance company transaction has registered under the Complaints procedure - you just don't go all the way through to complaining, obviously. Just go until the drop down box and click on, say, More>Than and it should show the date and time of when you bought from them.0 -
because it's all to do with the cookies
Wht I tend to do is to use work computer for quotes and home computer for buying. That seperates the cookies.
If you haven't got two computers then use tow different browsers e.g. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.0 -
Yes, lisyloo, that's a good idea, and I use Firefox for cashback as well. It's just that if someone is using the comparison sites on, say, Quidco, then they must clear their cookies before actually buying the insurance through the Quidco site. Otherwise the cookies are laid down to the comparison site.
I know - it's happened to me. Easily done, and ctrl+shift+delete couldn't be easier.0
