I don't know if all credit cards are the same but with my M&S one it always says on the statement that interest is charged daily - so even if you did send a payment in on time each month, you would acrue less interest if you paid it as soon as the statement came in, and not wait until just before the 'due by' date. Hope this makes sense!0

Try adding up all the fees you've had to pay for the last year - if the amount is scary enough it might jolt him into action.

If he still has his statements gather them together and work out exactly how much the extra charges have come to in the past year. then find something that's he'd really like that he could've bought and paid for in full with the money he's wasted on being lazy with his bills... personally I find comparing things to huge LCD/plasma flatscreen tvs gets the point through to my DH
