Will a broker reduce my car insurance?

Hi All,

It is the time of year to renew my car insurance.

I have been round all the comparison site stuff and have my new figures ready to negotiate on next week.

Was wondering, however, if there are any experiences out there as to how successful brokers are at securing a better price than the ones I have?

Try as many as possible, sometimes brokers get the best price, others are way over the top.
Even try Swintons.

Give them your lowest premium and let them do the leg work.

Many brokers are on comparison sites and some of the "insurers" people talk about (eg AA) are brokers.

There arent many traditional brokers willing to do a lot of leg work for a standard risk motor policy these days because the margins are so razor thin that the returns dont justify the effort.
