1) Please do not ‘chat’ or make unnecessary posts in this thread.
To thank posters just click the “Thanks” button below the post – you do not need to post a reply and ‘bump’ the thread.

2) If you are new to Take-a-Break competitions you need to register HERE.

3) The links in each post in this thread will take you directly to the competition. You will be asked to login if you have not already done so.

4) Many users “bookmark” this thread or put it in “favorites” and check it once a week or so for any new competitions. The way to do this varies according to the browser you use – if you are unsure of the procedure look up “bookmarks” or “favourites” in your browser’s HELP (often accessed by pressing the F1 function key).

5) You can subscribe to this thread and you will receive an email whenever a new post is added.

a) Click on “Thread Tools” (located towards the top of this page)
b) Click on “Subscribe to this Thread”
c) Under “Notification Type” select “Instant notification by email” from the drop down list.
d) Click on “Add Subscription”
(To stop the emails click on “Thread Tools” then “Unsubscribe from this Thread”)

7) If you have problems accessing particular pages in this thread (the forum sometimes does this for no apparent reason) you can try this:-

a) Exit the thread.
b) Click on "User CP" in the menu bar above the threads.
c) Select "Edit Options" in the menu on the left.
d) Change "Number of Posts to Show per page" to 10.
e) "Save Changes" at the bottom.
f) Go back into the thread and hopefully you can access it all.
(You can change back to 20 posts per page at any time)

8) T-A-B do not show that you have previously entered a competition (after you have exited your current session) and there is nothing that stops you from entering again. The terms state "we will accept only one entry per registered user. If more than one entry for the same issue is received, we will accept the first entry only". This means you will not be disqualified if you accidently enter a second time, and if you are unsure whether or not you have entered, or whether your entry has been accepted, it is OK to enter the comp to be certain.

Can I just let people know I am sitting with the answer to the Crosswords Collection (issue 8) £5000 comp, which they say is live from 25th August, but as yet the comp is not live on the site, and it appears to go from issue 7 to issue 9 .... will give them until tomorrow (after bank Holiday) then see if I can get in touch to see what is happening.
