fridge part of fridge freezer seal broken

The fridge part of my 11 year old Candy fridge freezer is icing up at the back, but not cooling very well any more. The freezer part works fine.

The door seal on the freezer is very firm, but on the fridge it is broken in places and is effortless to open. this wasn't helped by me investigating how easy it would be to replace the seal, and pulling a small section away - and of course not being able to get it back

I'm defrosting the fridge again now (after a couple of weeks it needs doing again) but have left the freezer closed because I can't afford to defrost everything in there at the moment.

I don't think I could replace the seal myself, and as it's so old I'm thinking that the money I'd spend on repairs would be better put towards a new fridge freezer.

I had a look on local ebay bargains, but I'm reluctant to buy a nearly new one from there, mainly because it wouldn't fit in my car and I'd end up paying a fair bit for delivery - again, I'm thinking the money would probably be better spent going towards a new one as I could get free delivery.

So... could I just ask for second opinions before I start working out how the heck to afford £150+ when my overdraft is almost at its limit?! Am I just trying to convince myself to buy new or are these things more expensive than it's worth to get them repaired?
