Insetting the lip of a bath into the wall?

It's getting a bit tight. So try to steal a bit at the solid wall end by chasing it in a little. But if you / plumber has to drill the tap hole (assuming at solid wall end) - steal a bit in from the centre to make sure you can comfortably get tiles down the back of the taps (i.e. don't just automatically drill a hole 50% of the distance across that lip)
At the other end - take the plasterboard off and you may be lucky. We found some thoughtful builder had run the timbers horizontally at the bath lip point - effectively creating a bath width 'box' in the otherwise vertical timber studs. Only problem it was a couple of inches too low to get the bath slid in. But it went, just, with the leg supports screwed down to lowest point. If you don't have such a 'box' - it is possible to put one in with an hour with a saw + screws. But needs care to avoid damaging the other side of the plaster - hence screws rather than nails as less vibration.
The bath actually looks great just that little bit lower than normal - but the wife complains it feels her bum is a bit low in it  . But normally quietens down when I point out her bum is looking a bit lower than it used to - even when standing up!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Hi
My bathrooms even smaller than yours, i dont use my bath much (only showers) but was told by a local estate agent it would be a bad idea to take it out so i nipped along to Bathstore.com who had an a good range of baths starting at 1200 upwards. I settled on a 1400 steel bath for £120 in the sale ! They have more brochures/sources in the store than online.
Hope that helps

Any pointers.
Manchester area.
Altas in Stretford should be good. I'm thinking Bette steel baths are available in 1500mm. You may be lucky and find that one of the "sheds" has something in their sales. B&Q Stockport is being re-fitted at present and has some bathroom suites being sold off cheap-ish for example.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

bette do a 1500 but you should find the kaldewei is a comparable quality and should find them cheaper, based on the trade price being a bit cheaper than bette0
