Got a touchpad and was just randomly pressing the buttons on the side and all that shows on the screen now is a giant USB logo. Is that normal - I've plugged it in to charge and that's all that's on the screen! Don't want to ask my OH in case he's cross with me for just pressing buttons!

Heh
Hold down the power button at the top. Also the USB logo should appear when its connected to a PC for transferring Data such as music.0 -
Thanks but it's not connected to anything! It's only charging from the wall! I'll try holding down the power button.0

Rang the helpline! Now I know how to reset my machine!0

NOTE If the screen does not respond to taps, press and hold the power button and Center at the same time for 15 seconds to restart your device.0 -
Exactly as Doc N says! The HP helpline man reassured me I hadn't broken it so now I can breathe a sigh of relief. Moral of the story is not to randomly press and hold buttons to see which one turns it on! OH found it funny when I confessed! Sure he wouldn't have if I'd broken it!0

HP support staff are going to have a shock these next few weeks0

In my defence the helpline man couldn't work out what was wrong and said that the tablet shouldn't be showing that screen unless it was connected to a device!0
