My hubby told me last week he would like some 'adult' lego, does anyone have any suggestions on a 'starter' kit for him? I don't want to buy something really expensive in case he decides he doesn't want it after all

I havr the catalouge here, theres a huge set with big ben and london bridge (very expensive though), some great star wars sets and the vw camper van.

The good thing about lego is, if you buy a discounted set that's got a lot of appeal (Millennium Falcon for example), then you can recoup most of your money on ebay as long as you retain the box and instructions and keep it mint.

My 'most wanted' is the Technic Unimog. Although, to be honest, once you buy a couple of large tubs of used lego (we've got about 10kg like that), the most fun for an adult comes from designing and building your own. Have a look at the Lego Great Ball Contraption for some incredible things.

Lego for adults? Anything, so long as it's not Duplo.
Go for Technic 8051 perhaps.
