  • I ordered one large box and one small box of LEGO from TRU and they were taped together with lots of tape and then stuffed in a courier bag. No way of getting the tape off without tearing the boxes :(. So the boxes look far from pristine but I know the recipient will still be over the moon with them come Christmas Day :D.

I ordered a the police station a couple weeks ago from toys r us and the packaging was terrible. Came in just a courier bag so the box got flattened and bits started falling out. Luckily I coud exchange mine instore. Companies should think about how they package things as surely the cost to replace and resend things outweighs any savings they were trying to make.

I had the exact same problem

Hi popped into Toys R Us today as they are doing Buy 2 get 3rd Free on lego until midnight tonight. When i went to pay it was cheaper than i thought and the sales assistant advised that the Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price had also kicked in, it had taken the price of the cheapest product off my total and also half the price of that product as well so 3 items that would have been £52 came to £36 - she said that if you click & collect the promotion price will be honoured if you collect the items the next day (there are 2 different opinions to this on their website) but might be worth trying before midnight tonight.

    Has anybody seen either the:

Lego City 3368: Space Centre cheaper than £50? I know tesco had it on offer yesterday for £39 but they were sold out very quickly!

Lego City 7939: Cargo Train. That I think retails around the £120 mark so anything under £100 would be a real bargain!

    Any help appreciated!
Re: Cargo Train. Keep an eye on amazon - maybe set up a camelcamelcamel alert for it. I set up an alert for under £100 and it dipped below for a day last week (£97 I think).
  • My local B&M Bargains (macclesfield) had 3 lego sets in.

Lego Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub - £12.99 (I think this is 9.99 in Home Bargains though)

Lego Power Miners 8190: Claw Catcher - £12.99

    Lego Racers 8496: Desert Hammer - £16.99

So while you're in there buying your 40p bottles of Corona (5 for £2), you can pick up some lego!
