Fire station a good buy for a 4 year old? He's 5 in march. I don't want to get the police station as I bought him the playmobil police station last year and he just isn't interested in it.

I would say yes for the age range - its a good build, one to do together (or at least with some part finding help maybe ) my DD thinks the city range is only for boys, yet merrily plays with all mine :rotfl:

she has similar sized sets in friends range and can build them - the fire station has lots of bits to play with after building - an aspect which interests my wee one, everyone is different though - maybe he was just a bit little for it last year? My DD just turned 5 and has only just 'got into' lego properly :)

Check iCheckStock if you're having difficulty locating this. I notice this is currently out of stock to pick up at my 10 nearest stores. Click on Advanced Search if you want to look further a field.

One left in stock at postcodes NW10 4NG and HA9 6AH, and four left in stock at NW6 6JH if it helps any. These are the postcodes of stores nearest to me, about 7 or 8 miles from me. Others may be available elsewhere [hopefully].

It lets me get all the way through reserving the police station to be sent to store and then freezes - he would have loved it too - I want the bear!! :rotfl:

Have now given up and paid the postage to get the police station, thanks everyone

My ds is a similar age to yours and the fire station was a big hit with him, it does help that he loves anything to do with fire/policemen though, saying that my dd who is 7 even joins in playing with it so imo a good buy!

If you have any Tesco clubcard vouchers, these can be 'doubled up' until Dec 5th (to spend by Dec 13th) on certain categories, including Toys (which includes Lego).

Some items are also on offer, so extra 'savings' can be had - I got the Star Wars Jedi Interceptor, normally around £37, on offer at £25, using doubled-up vouchers (so arguably equivalent to £12.50).

Would post link to Tesco site but unable to do so as a 'new user' ...
