I was going to, then I added the advent calendar, so £70 on lego when I don't even know if it is going to be his thing seemed excessive. I hate missing a bargain though, but it is only a bargain if it is played with, arrgghhh the dilemma!!!

Also posted as a seperate thread about Argos, but as my purchase was about Lego Star Wars, I thought it maybe owrth adding here also...

It appears that Argos are having a problem with their pricing computer at the moment

Looking on the website, it shows that the Lego Star Wars X-Wing starfighter is priced at £7.99 when you look at all Lego star wars products

However when you click on the item, it's priced at £4.99

I'd seen this today and reserved it, when I went to collect, the pay machines showed the price at £7.99. I queried this with the check-out staff and showed my reservation confirmation and they honoured the lower price. The store manager even stated that this is happening with loads of items. So it maybe worth checking and reserving (and taking a copy of your reservation with you!)

Just picked mine up, person at till saw i had the reservation printed out and changed the price to £9.99 without me even asking :j:j going to have two happy boys on 1st December as I had told them they were too expensive at £19.99 each. Was given the 2012 ones.

They were really helpful in my store (telford) and she honoured the online price, i didn't even have to ask! She said they'd had a couple through the same day.

Can't get the forest police station or the fire station at argos :(:(

It lets me get all the way through reserving the police station to be sent to store and then freezes - he would have loved it too - I want the bear!! :rotfl:

Have now given up and paid the postage to get the police station, thanks everyone

Been to collect the fire station, the advent calendar and got 2 of the X Wing's for wrap ups for DS friends b'days next year. I was only getting one X Wing, but added the 2nd as it took my bill to just over £50 so I got the Argos £5 voucher, used it straight away on the lego duplo cakes so it came to £4.99. I am really grateful to everyone who has posted, I have got some wonderful pressies for my DS, friends and niece, thanks.
