  • i picked up the lego city mining cave today in smyths for £43.99. in toysrus it was £69.99 so quite a bargain. my little boy has been asking for it for ages but £69.99 seems heck of alot to pay so i was chuffed today. think the 20% ends either sunday or monday.
  • If anyone is waiting for 3 for 2 from Argos or Boots it is worth pricing the items in Smyths with the 20% off as I worked out if I bought the Police Station, the mine and the fire station from Smyths it is still cheaper than Argos 3 for 2!

I have an on shelf price promise for that for tomorrow! Does anyone have experience with the price promise and how it works as I gather it does not actually reserve the item?

They offer it on products where they have loads of stock and know they won't sell out, but if they do they pay you some compensation.

That's the star wars advent calendar in stock at boots now (online) but only one allowed per customer. Sensible I suppose but I wanted two, one for each son.

I guess it's Smyths for me

I don't have a smyths local so with delivery it wouldn't make it worth it to me, the 2 calendars & something free would be approx £40, if I ordered from smyths it'll be £32 for just the advents + delivery.

  • I've just had The Book People's catalogue through the door and they've got a slipcase containing The Lego Ideas Book, The Lego book and Standing Small, for £15.99. A great price for some great books, and it'd make a very impressive looking present. There is a free delivery code here, or free if you spend over £25 anyway.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • Tesco have the Clone Trooper Battle Packs (7913) and the Mandalorian Battle Packs (7914) reduced to £2.75. Probably nationwide :)

i just assumed it reserved the item because i done it and didnt rush up, luckily there was quite a few on the shelf but i was wondering why the member of staff just went to get it instead of having it ready.
