The Legoland passes give 10% off in the shops, it is only 20% in the catering outlets. We have been all year round and sadly never seen any great reductions, there is a 'discount' shop but I've never found anything that we wanted to buy in there, they mainly sell off merchandise rather than Lego sets.

We found the Lego shops at Legoland Windsor to be expensive, the sets were rrp if not more.

Amazon now matching JL at £24.99 for the Marina.

Was the Lego store at Bluewater selling the winter set at £40 - I amended my post, but it looks like my iPod crashed as it was saving (it doesn't seem to be very stable on this site!). Perhaps should have bought one for myself, I've got £5 on my Lego VIP card that I don't have any plans to spend on anything else from them at present.

Legoland is almost all rrp. They occasionally have stock of older hard to find items that aren't in the website, so if you are looking for a hard to find or exclusive that doesn't appear on Amazon etc, at rrp it is probably the cheapest you're going to get it.

They don't open between dec and mar, so no chance to get sale items.

Just remembered - I was looking at the Lego racer Lamborghini police car at legoland (rrp) on the last day they opened last year. Thought it'd be cheaper online, but this was a discontinued old stock item, and Amazon had a couple at around rrp but they went before I got time to order. The lego website didn't have it, and neither did the stores when i phoned them. Luckily a month later, i found Smyths had 1 left in stock and they'd knocked a tenner off and I had a £5 voucher from the paper - otherwise I'd still be waiting for legoland to reopen next month to get one! So, as I said, good for old stock or hard to finds but don't expect to see the price less than rrp.
  • Amazon now have Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship for £23.50. Not as cheap as the Tesco or John Lewis price, but easier to get delivered than find instore.
  • Was in asda at govan, glasgow today and they had the alien conquest mothership set number 7065 for £14.50 RRP of £50 on lego.com I bought one and they still had 3 left :)

Okay.....I have a challenge for you guys. I'm trying to work out exactly what lego my nephew is going on about, but can't seem to work it out. So I thought you guys could help.

Its a car.....and apparently the roof pulls back. Now whether this is motorised or not I don't know.

I'm hoping that you clever people have more of an idea what he's talking about. Cos I'm stumped.

Lego space centre reduced at Tesco to £37.49 in store today (not the best we've seen but best at the mo). Also some other reductions on Lego technics - off road buggy was £7 or £8, helicopter was £26.
  • Not sure if this is an ongoing offer as these have previously been posted on here at the beginning of December.
