Selling postcards of stamps

Options
Hi! I'm stuck for inspiration. About 15-20 years ago I went through a brief phase of collecting Royal Mail postcards with pictures of stamps on them (issued by Royal Mail at the same time as new issues of stamps). I came across them the other day and want to get rid of them but I'm not sure where to try. I had a look at ebay and there are plenty on there but none with any bids so I guess they need to be advertised somewhere more specialised. Does anyone have any ideas where I could try please?

I realise I probably won't get much for them (if only I'd collected stamps instead, d'oh!) but don't want to just chuck them out.

Thanks in advance

Might be worth batching them up and trying them at 99p a batch on ebay as that will be free to list as I assume you will be using a private account (not a business). I have actually sold some that way, my dad collected these as well and some older sets actually went for more than start bid, not a lot, but every little helped.

Try looking at completed items as well. That might give you an indication of what they eventually sell for.

I agree that not many sell, there are 2 pages of unsold ones at 99p, but I can't think of anywhere else at all to even try. You might get lucky as I did and sell a few older sets

Soolin - it's good to hear that someone has sold some on ebay. I've done a bit more searching and found their official name is PHQ cards. Looking under that name on ebay, I've found some with more bids so fingers crossed.

Crowqueen - I had no idea you could search for completed items on ebay but have now worked out how to do it - that will be useful for other things too :T

    Thanks both!
  • You could also try delcampe.net; it's a specialist stamp/postcard site. I don't know much about it because paper collectables aren't my area but the postcard traders I know love the place.

Doing a quick search there are plenty of PHQ cards there for sale - 1,351 entries.

Hmmm... this gives me an idea.
