Don't whatever you do use D.......d which will charge you the earth for the privelege of having their van emblazoned with their logo outside your property for a period of time. If you have to call anyone make it a local independent.
Where is it blocked? Lift the inspection covers until you can discover where the blockage is. It might not be on your land in which case it may not be your responsibility. It may not be where this difficult bend is so said bend could be irrelevant.

it's out kitchen drain, hubby lifted the cover and cleared all the pipes there and said it was the pipe, we rent our house but i dropped a plant pot down there a while back i fished it out so but hubbys convinced it's my fault so refuses to get the landlord to sort it
we always use local independant people for things like this, but i know it will still cost a small fortuneDEC GC £463.67/£450

Get the landlord in to sort it!!!!!
That's ridiculous - save yourself all the stress you don't need, there are some benefits to not owning your own home and one of them is maintenance.
There's all sorts of gunk and fat etc that can cause blockages from a kitchen. Who knows maybe the previous tenants used the sink to pour chip fat away?! No one can prove what's down there is you anyway so just deny all knowledge if a bit of plant pot comes back up0 -
Ah so its just the drain itself. It has a built in trap and I'm guessing thats what you mean by bend. You dropped a flower pot down it? So its full of earth then. Roill up sleev, arm down and clear it out and I don't just mean the bottom of the trap. get your hand right inside and clear the top part of the U bend out as well.
Bon chance.

We bought rods and they were hopeless. If you have a pressure washer like a Karcher you can get a special hose for it for clearing drains. We bought one. Cost about £30 and did the job where everything else failed.0

we aldy tried the rubber glove trick (well acually it was a binbag cause for some reason the pipe joins in really low down) it was it wasn't an awful lot of compost and it was fresh stuff so you'd imagine it would rinse away) i wanted to ask the landlord to sort it we did try after all with no luck
that hole looks brilliant did it really work? we have a nilfisk washer and the hose for it is £50 i wonder if theres a generic one-fits all versionDEC GC £463.67/£450

Yes it really worked - and ours was badly blocked (6 black bags of waste needed to be shovelled out of 2 drains  ) The hose is a smaller version of what the professionals use. Our rods actually snapped in the pipe - fortunately it was just inside the pipe and OH managed to get it out. He also bought ones with good reviews. Must've been the same ones as you got! ) If you watch the youtube video it shows you how it works. Not sure if it's what they call a snake?0 -
Here's one. It's more expensive than the one we got though. http://www.screwfix.com/p/nilfisk-alto-drain-cleaning-kit/25301;jsessionid=JV8kTJhTSLCT0WvMtpkm0LDymVBkDtvDhs6ytkJ6kGx1X95flbxW!17501460260

Just call D*****d and tell the driver to call his office and tell them that there was no blockage and give him cash-in-hand to unblock your drain at a greatly reduced price. He'll then give you his mobile number so you can call him directly for future blockages at greatly reduced rates.
Simples! lol...Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0
