We are going to ask a local estate agent to come and give us a valuation of our home, however it is very early stages and we would then have to then consider moving and depending on the valuation we may or maynot go ahead.
Just a thought was that at this stage we wouldn't want the figure to be publicised on for example Zoopla or similar?
Do you know if this is something the estate agents do automatically?

If you have an agent round to value your home, only yourself and the agent will know the valuation they put on the property.
Their is a tool on Zoopla, which will give you an estimate on your home, but you yourself would have to go on and put the information in yourself.
Only if you sold your home, would the sold price be shown by the land registry, normally visible 3 months after the sale completes.0
