Slightly unusual one

I'll straight up admit that this is not the most newsworthy of ebay comments, but I've never seen this one happen before.
I'm bidding on an item, which has two days to go. I made a lowball bid on it of just over £100. But the item will sell for about £200, no problem.
I've been the "high bidder, reserve not met" for two days now, at about £60. But, I've received three messages saying that the reserve price has been reduced.
There's also a comment in bold on the item "please don't watch if you don't intend to bid".
Sounds to me a bit like a seller with a bit of a frustration problem.

I'll do so when I get outbid. As it's pickup only, if my lowball bid succeeds, I've actually got to meet him/her. And if it sells for as low as my bid is, I guess that s/he will be even more riled up!
I put the lowball bid on as I saw some similar items go for well under normal going price a few days ago, and thought it was time for some lowballing.
It's mainly the three reductions in the reserve price that I found unusual, and indication of impatience.0 -
Probably trying to find out what your max bid is - just wondering, can they put the reserve back up after reducing it?

If this was the sellers intention then they will be disappointed.
Whenever the reserve is lowered, the current high bid is automatically lowered to one bid increment below the new reserve so the seller won't be able to see what the max bid would have been.0 -
