Hello, how do I place an article/story from the web on these forums in its real state not just as a link?
In other words show it as it appears on the web.
Many thanks.

I am not sure what you are asking, but can you not use the quote tags to show a bit of the story and then include a link to the rest?
I wish I could assume you know how to use quote tags here but just click on the icon that looks like a speech bubble at the top of the editor
I do not think these forums allow RSS feeds..."Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -

What I'm trying to say is that I would like to show the article verbatim whole as it appears in an online newspaper, pictures, text and all rather than people having to click a link to read it. I've tried highlighting it all but can't find a way of copying and pasting.

It won't happen, thing is when you link to a picture and it is viewed, the webmaster of that page still has to pay bandwidth charges which is why a lot of people are crazy paranoid about people reposting their images all over the internet, it may seem a tiny charge, into the micro-fractions of a penny, but it all adds up.
If one or two people view the page you have recreated it wont even register, if 40,000,000+ people view it like if it was featured on mashable.com then that would be a huge problem.
Imagine doing that for every single part of a page? lol
There are very few websites out there that actively help people to enbed their video, pictures and comment stations...Youtube and Facebook actively come to mind and they pay for that bandwidth because they want as much exposure as they can get.

also actively discouraged on here ( and other forums) for copyright grounds - sure its in the site rules somewhere
A snippet of text copied from original article to give context and a link back to full article is the the way to go0 -

Also, webmasters love this because it gives a backlink, telling Google and the other search engines that someone found the article interesting and good enough to share...always credit the source when possible"Don't blink. Obviously many articles are only a page or two long. I have seen people doing it in discussion time. I don't know how.As surely as night follows day capitalism will come crumbling down. On a mission to secure a just and ethical society.0
