Hiya!
My ipod has a sad face, and wondered if anyone has any ideas...
I've put it in disk mode (and when plugging into pc, it restarts, errors and sad ipod again)...
I've ran all the diagnostic tests and whilst it passes the HD test, it comes up with '14ror!' in HD scan.
I am at a loss now as to what to do. Apple quote me £166.27 for a repair... It's an 18 month old photo click wheel.
Has anyone any ideas? xxx

There are other companies who will repair your ipod at a lower cost. I have never tried any of them so I can't comment on how good/bad they are but you should do a bit of Googling and also check out iPod user forums for guidance.
Have you tried restoring your iPod from scratch? Here are some links but I suspect you have tried this already.

Wow, at that price for repair you may as well get a new 5.5G Video iPod. But then again I guess that's what they want you to do."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
