If it is that it will need sorting pretty quickly as it can damage the foundations of the house.
I had this a couple of years ago. It felt really scary at the time, but my plumber was a small bloke and he got under the house quite easily and replace the cracked bit of pipe. I don't think it cost me more than £60.
Do get a plumber to look at it sooner rather than later. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
My neighbours had this problem, turned out to be a leak on the pipe in the street, the water company fixed it, no charge. They could hear water running constantly.
Hope you get it sorted.

water board have been out today - they suspect its a leak in a lead pipe under the floor - the leak is flowing out into the sewer, so presumably not damaging my house!
obviously I want to get it repaired, he told my hubby the best thing is if he does most of the "donkey work" - ie taking up the ceramic tiles in the bathroom and then gets a plumber out to repair the pipe, that it shouldnt be a major expense.
I checked my Halifax insurance policy - I have 32% ncd and if I make a claim I will lose the lot, so even if I am covered, will be reluctant to claim.
Any ideas if hubby can find the leaky bit what a plumber would charge to replace the pipe?0 -
I would get a plumber out and see what they say. You don't want your husband taking up loads of ceramic tiles only to find out it's not a leak under the house as they 'suspect'. Or he's taken them up from the wrong place.
My plumber took up the necessary floorboards and replaced them himself (the leak was under the understairs cupboard). Total cost about £53 IIRC.It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0
