HTML a must?

When I'm putting something for sale on e-bay must I use their html page layout?
I'm not a 'puter expert so I find it a bit tiresome using the html stuff.
Can I make a layout with 'word' then paste it? Or any other easier ways, please?
Cheers - Jack

Just do whatever you are comfortable with. My auction layouts are very simple, like you suggest I actually keep some templates on word that I use to fill in the blanks when I load turbolister.
There is also a thought that says that if you have too much going on in the auction buyers will stop reading and maybe make a mistake with what they are buying which leads to problems. I just give a good accurate description of the item, sizes, measurments colour, whatever, and leave it at that. I don't have any terms and conditions really to clutter up the auction.

No Jack you do not have to use the HTML listing designer at all if you don't want to.
Just use the normal one and it does all the HTML work behind the scenes for you.
Looks like this:

Yes I was looking at a site yesterday for snoopy memorabilia which had so many pictures it was ridiculous. The actual item which was listed had a picture near the top but the bigger picture took so long to load I just gave up.
Its worth knowing one or two tags though.
I write my listings in notepad so I can add stuff like how much it weighs ,how much to post and other comments, then just cut and paste the bits I want to the listing including the tags.0
