alternative for windows media player

hi posted before thought i would try again, have problems watching some dvd ,s on computer some iether dont play or just picture only, normal dvd are ok these are ones on discs tried mpc star.. any others out there thanks

Yes, your music files are not stored in WMP, they're stored under My Documents, My Music, or wherever you chose to put them on your hard drive.
Removing WMP will prevent you playing them, but the files remain where they are.

Yes, but if it's malfunctioning, updating it may not solve the issue.
