Currently have a cruise booked with iglu for next year but I am having trouble getting confirmation of the booking, which I should have received by the 18 th of August. On the cruise lines own website the cruise is now showing as fully sold out.
On a couple of occasions they have promised to ring and/or email me back within 24 hours and failed to do so.
I am slightly concerned that they are going the way of Gills. Has anybody experienced similar problems or heard any rumours etc?

It must be just us then.
I do find it more than a little disappointing and annoying that firms that do business over the web and by phone cannot get even the basics of customer service right.
How difficult can it be, if you promise to ring or email somone back within 24 hours, to actually ring or email them back? Even if it is only to say that we have not managed to do anything yet.
Do they not understand that even if I do end up with what they have promised I will not use them again for any other booking.
Or am I expecting too much?

Martin,
You may get more response on the cruise forum over at tripadvisor :

Good luck with it.0 -
Thanks for that, looks like I am going to need a bit of good luck as I now find that we are on a wait list for a cabin, this is despite being told by an iglu rep that we have a confirmed booking.
Of course all classes of cabins for the cruise we want are now sold out.
It really is shockingly bad service.

Have you tried emailing? I've been mailing a bloke called Nigel all week to ask various questions as I'm hoping to book my first cruise soon. He's been pretty good & emailed me thrice a day sometimes.0

Emaied them, phoned them, all I seem to get as a response is that they will get back to me within 24 hours and they never do.
We just got an email this morning telling us we will have to wait till the 7 th of sept for Royal Caribbean to confirm our booking.
We first booked and payed our deposit on the 4th of August and received an email confirm our booking and that Royal Caribbean would send us details by the 17 th August.
Contacted iglu again on the 20th as we never received the confirmation email only to discover that our confirmed booking isn't.
I have to say that there customer service only began to fall apart after we had paid our deposit.
If you can find a similar deal elsewhere I would suggest you do, but as I am only one poster and no one else appears to have had problems you will probably be ok using iglu, but ...........
