    Hi
Body Shop 'ginger' shampoo is excellent for itchy scalps

I can vouch for this. My hair was thinning (I'm female) and very itchy. My sister said use this, and my scalp is only itchy if I don't wash it for days and days (like when I went to a festival!)

I tried everything - head and shoulders, medicated, baby shampoo. Nothing worked for me!

    (I sound like an advert...!)

May be worth a go. I'm doing ok at the moment but it's not perfect.

Another one to try. As I say, my scalp is ok at the moment, but it can itch the same day still. So many things to try and I don't know what to try first!

I find H&S too abrasive. I come out in bumps on my head :(

I'm going to try the ginger shampoo - not sure it will work on my seborrhoeic dermatitis, but i'll give it a go...

I know nizoral and sunsel work a treat, but can be very drying on my hair and always strip the colour out, so if the bodyshop one works and is kinder it's win win :)

My daughter uses the Body Shop ginger one. She has seb dermatitis and it is the only thing that keeps it at bay. :-)

If you have so little hair do you need a shampoo, I'd try just rinsing your scalp for a few week's with water & no product's at all, see how you get on. Hubby had terrible dandruff and nothing worked, until he started just washing his scalp/hair with water & it has cleared right up.
    Booo!!!
  • Most shampoos contain SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) as it helps them foam up, but it is acutally a skin irritant. Try an SLS free shampoo. Most of the naked range in boots is SLS free.

I know switching to SLS free shampoo has helped me and I've heard good things from other people.
