Just when things look up, Ebay problems!

Arrrgh!!!

Ned to vent a bit, so bear with me.

Things not going so badly, things selling well on ebay. This morning I log in to a load of snotty emails from buyers, and a notice from ebay. Apparently an account my ex husband was responsible for was suspended. They've linked it to me, and suspended my account!!! Of course, you can't contact anyone at Ebay except through email (and I bet that won; get read for days) so now I'm stuck with emails coming in from worried buyers, snotty emails from people who are claiming back their money and of course, under ebay rules it gets given back, depspite the fact that the items have all been sent out already!

They've been happy enough to take my money up to this point. I'm pretty upset, as this is the way I've been managing to get my debts paid off quicker. I can't resolve anything as I can't contact my buyers and ebay conveniently don;t have a helpline. I just have to wait until some b*gger decides to pick up my emails!

Arrrgh why me why me why me arrrgghh
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Poor you Obi, what a nightmare. Hope you manage to get it sorted out soon. It seems so unfair that the buyers get their money back even though you have sent the items out. Fingers crossed that eBay respond to you quickly.

  • You can have a live messenger type chat with ebay. This might be worth a go. You access it via help. I've done this and I got my question answered although it wasn't like yours.

I found live chat helpful too, but I remember you can only use it between certain times of the day. Something like 2 -6 pm springs to mind, but check first, this was a while ago.

Bl**dy ex husband, still mucking up my life. Today is not a good day, customer's keep asking for stuff I don't have, and look surprised when you remind them you can't just snap your fingers and get stuff delivered! Thanks guys, I'm off to try and find a poor lowly ebay employee to bear the brunt of my wrath!!

Arrrgh!! Live hep is offline for mainenance.

Got to be positive about this. It's not a problem, more like an opportunity to do other things. Like the accounts. Or dust the shop.

Deep breath Obi - right - you ARE NOT going to let anything to do with that flea on a rat's backside make you feel like this a moment longer - do you hear me?????? :D

This is just a blip - it will be sorted - your customers will have their minds put at rest, the money will be sorted out, and in a couple of days, everything will be back to normal, I promise. And I'm never wrong! (or at least I never admit it :rotfl:)

cheers snaggles - it's just such a pain when things were going swimmingly. Hmm, a little too swimmingly.

Breathing deep, got a cup of tea, and now I'm listing the big stuff on small ads via the local paper's website. Gives me chance to get my ebay stuff sorted out. It's not a probem, it's a challenge, and chance to concentrate on other stuff.

    Thanks for the support guys!

  • Im getting fed up with ebay, it used to be a good way to get some income however thier fees are now very high and what would cost me £20 a month for a few items is now costing upwards of £50! Paypal are the same, and if theres a sniff of a buyer complaining they come down on the seller like a tonne of bricks - theres little help for sellers at all i feel.

Although it used to be a great way of selling Im considering forgeting ebay all together, very very disapointed in ebay, it used to be a great resource.
I hope things get sorted out for you.
