Hi,
I'm looking at buying a car and I'm just wondering if I can get rear parking sensors and a telephone car kit installed myself.
Any ideas on best places to go and how much it would cost please?

You can buy DIY reversing sensors from a lot of motor factor places. eBay has lots too. All come with instructions on fitting. There are some out there that dont involve having to drill holes into your bumper so look out for those to save a lot of hassle.
In terms of the hands free, you can buy Bluetooth car kits by manufacturers like Parrott which can run off the ciggy lighter and beign bluetooth, they dont need to be wired to the phone. Other option is if you are planning on getting a Tomtom Sat Nav, they have a Bluetooth hands free facility built in too.
Hope that helps. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -

I've lived with parking sensors for three years in a car which was given to me.
I'm certainly not afraid to look behind me but I'm worried now as I take them for granted that I will simply forget one time and end up crashing the thing. Which considering the cost of the car, I am treating the cost of sensors as an insurance policy.
But thanks for your help anyway :rolleyes:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

i fitted parking sensors for a friend a little while ago, bought for £40 off ebay and easy to fit. i bought a bluetooth handsfree kit which connects through the stereo, when phone rings its mutes the music and the caller comes through the speakers. will work with any phone. it cost about £60 and easy to fit.0
